EURO-CHINA BUSINESS FORUM
We wish to inform you that, owing to the incumbent dramatic events due to the SARS' epidemics affecting China, the International Board of EURIO-CHINA has decided to postpone the EURO-CHINA BUSINESS FORUM, expected to be held in October 2003 upon invitation of the Mayor of Tianjin, until next year, 2004. The Chinese Authorities have been duly informed and have expressed their agreement with this decision.
During the rest of the biennium 2003/2004, EURO-CHINA's activity will be mainly focused on the preparation of projects, seminars and conferences concerning economic, technological and cultural cooperation between Europe and China, as well as other relevant initiatives in the rest of the world.
Recruitment and Reorganization of EURO-CHINA Advisors
The campaign of recruitment of new qualified Advisors, in Europe, has been successfully concluded, with the purpose of reorganizing the Team of Advisors responsible of promoting the activities of EURO-CHINA in each country of the European Union. S soon as conditions allow, a similar exercise will be undertaken in China as well, with the scope of improving the presence of our Advisors in all Chinese Provinces.
"Domus-Academy" Conference in Milan, Italy
Upon invitation of the well known "Domus Academy" of Milan, the President of EURO-CHINA, Former Amb. Prof. S. POLO Padolecchia, will hold a Conference on the theme "Business in China", on May 29th, 2003. In this occasion, he has been asked also to illustrate some relevant topics of his new book "Business in China", published very recently by Sole 24 Ore Editors. Marco Polo Club
President S. Polo Padolecchia has accepted the invitation by eminent personalities of New York City to be Guest of Honour and Speaker at a Gala Dinner organized on June 1o, 2003, at the Marco Polo Restaurant, on occasion of its 20th Anniversary, at the presence of the Mayor of New York, Mr. Michael Bloomberg, and of leading representatives of major economic and cultural sectors and media. During this event, President Polo Padolecchia will illustrate the history of Marco polo, and will open the American Chapter of the Marco Polo Club, the scope of which is to foster the exchange of thinking, the spirit of pioneering at "planetarian and extra-planetarian level", and to honour those who have distinguished themselves with the "Marco Polo Award".
